BoASC is a friendly sailing club just up river from Bradford on Avon. Since 1965, we have been gathering on this stretch of the river and enjoying the competition & friendly rivalry that comes from racing on a Sunday afternoon. Other meetings and events can also be found on our events calendar.
WE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING TO ATTRACT NEW MEMBERS – COME AND JOIN IN AND HELP EXPAND OUR SPORT TO MORE PEOPLE IN WEST WILTS
BoASC holds the record of the narrowest sailing area in the Bart’s Bash “Guinness Book of Records Race”. We are also Class Champions with the Yamaha Seahopper. So BoASC is currently a Double Bart’s Bash World Champion !! We have taken part in the event each year and have raised over £1,000 for the Andrew Simpson Foundation.
We have the following classes within the Club: Comet, Laser, Miracle, Mirror, Rooster 8.1, RS 200, RS Aero, RS Vision, Solo, Solution, Topaz Uno & Topper classes.
We have a Clubhouse with Dinghy Park plus a range of Club Dinghies that are available for a notional charge (RS Vision, Laser, Topper, Topaz Uno & Optimist).
In the springtime, we offer an introductory “try sailing” course to get you started – this is specifically designed for those people looking to become members of the club early on in the season.

Heading out of Bradford on Avon on the Trowbridge Road. Look out for the end of town – beyond the last terrace of houses on the left side (north side) adjacent to 219 Trowbridge Road, there is a small lane that runs between the houses & the field. Turn off the main road onto the lane, follow this to the end, through 2 field farm gates until you come to the clubhouse beside the river. Please close all gates behind you.
Postcode BA15 1EU, House Nº 219 (or coordinates 51.337588, -2.240841) in your SatNav will take you to the entrance off the main road.
