2026 AGM & Presentation Evening 7pm Saturday 7th Feb’26 at The George (Woolley, BoA) (click for full details)

The AGM for Bradford on Avon Sailing Club will take place on Saturday 7th February 2026 at  The George Pub (67 Woolley Street, Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire, BA15 1AQ):
    • 6pm start arriving
    • 6:30 AGM Starts
    • 7:30 Dinner Served
    • After Dinner, prize giving and raffle.
Here’s the menu, please let Debs have your menu choices and make payment into the BoASC Account.
Please wear whatever you feel comfortable with (occasionally a DJ & bow-tie have made an appearance, but so have jeans).
Please bring something for a raffle prize (& some cash for tickets!).

Committee Members
Nominations are invited for new Committee Members, particularly for the role of Secretary…
Graham recently I retired / moved home to Weymouth and so a new Secretary is needed for next season. His experience of the role:
  • attending a monthly committee meeting (usually at The George, 8pm on a Thursday for around 1 hour, or longer if you like a drink/chat afterwards!);
  • recording the minutes of the committee meeting (an update of notes/actions from previous plus any new);
  • monitoring and responding to emails sent to the club’s email address (varies but typically a couple a month), in conjunction with other committee members;
  • communicating events/notices/requests to club members via email / WhatsApp;
  • maintaining a membership list spreadsheet and submitting an annual return of membership numbers to RYA.
So an ideal role for someone who wants to contribute to the operation of the club ‘little and often’ from home apart from the monthly committee meeting, and is comfortable using basic computer apps (email, spreadsheet etc).
